When I was a kid, the big thing to have was a personalised book, in which you got to read a story about a kid with your very own name. I remember seeing another kid with one at school and becoming very quickly jealous. I also remember reading a bit of it and realising how paper thin the whole scheme was. The stories weren’t good and beyond the name they certainly weren’t really tailored to the kid. Jealousy faded to be replaced by disappointment.

Cut to 2026. Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I spot an interesting advertisement- a personalised song for – well, more than we’ve agreed to spend which is nothing but less than I spent in Fi’s birthday, for which I got in trouble.

I investigate the artist and find someone with not only a great voice but a lot of heart. James Chapeskie is basically providing song-as-a-service to support a range of projects such including an upcoming musical film. I’m down to help out with that, so I placed my order and so here’s James. Happy Valentine’s day, Fi (or Fifi as the song and this blog says). The blog project is officially off hiatus.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
